This raises an important query: How is Rosie powerful enough to raise Alastor above every other Demonic Sinners?

“The agreement between Rosie and Alastor is the initial building block in a much bigger story that encompasses a great deal, moving into the third season,” the showrunner states. “Obviously that is a perfect question: How is she so strong? The answer could be various factors, but the answer is in season three. I am thrilled for fans to see it.”

Mysteries Resolved in The Next Season

The creator assures that the upcoming season will tackle the queries fans have been asking, such as why Rosie ordered Alastor to vanish for seven years, which weakened his influence in Hell.

“The whole seven years, and the pacts these individuals are making, and everything — it's feeding into a larger story,” she says.

Meanwhile, the origin story episode provides a further look into what the core cast of Demonic Sinners appeared as as mortals, following after viewing another character's historical human form in episode 2. The creator explains that significant consideration went into the visual creation of these forms.

“The mortal forms of the characters hold so much weight,” she says. “They vary from looking really different from their infernal version to looking very similar. With the first character, the initial design we see, there was a little bit of a debate within the team between going with something that represents the character, versus selecting something that's historically correct. We opted for creating a design that just felt like it was him.”

She mentions the primary controversy over the mortal look of Pentious was his long hair: “We were like, ‘No one really had long hair of that style in Victorian-era London.’ But simultaneously, we think the silhouette is so important, and we also just thought he appeared attractive. We were like, ‘This just feels right.’ We kind of gave the excuse that he lived in seclusion, so he just let his hair grow out. So there is always a solution. As we design the mortal forms of these characters […] it is a very enjoyable process to explore and figure out. I am looking forward for people to view additional of the appearances of the human versions.”
